bedtime math's crazy 8s club

Do you love math?  Do you hate math and wish it was more fun?  Either way, the Crazy 8s Math Club is for you!  The library will be offering Crazy 8s Math Club this fall to kids in grades 4K-5 with Miss Cindy in charge of the fun.  Crazy 8s is a recreational math club that helps kids enjoy math by playing, building, and making a mess in a non-academic and friendly environment! Crazy 8s Math Club will meet every Tuesday from 5:30-6:30 PM for grades 4K-2nd and every Thursday from 5:30-6:30 PM for grades 3-5.  There is a sign-up sheet at the desk.

“Crazy 8s is an over the top after school club that’s designed to get kids fired up about math.  Every week kids get to build stuff, run and jump, make music, make a mess…and make friendships at the same time.”

All materials for Crazy 8s Math Club are provided by the Bedtime Math Foundation at no cost to libraries.  Bedtime Math was founded on the principle that kids need daily math as much as daily reading so, in addition to a nightly bedtime story, parents can provide a nightly (or daily) math problem.  Daily problems may be sent by email or loaded to a phone or tablet by going to their website, www.bedtimemath.org.
