The library is forming a Book Club!  During this first get-together, the format for the club will be discussed and titles chosen.

Let’s Talk About It Oklahoma – Pushing the Bear

We will be discussing Pushing the Bear by Diane Glancy, a story of the Trail of Tears.  Dr. Jennifer Page, Assistant Professor of English at NWOSU will be leading the discussion.

Let’s Talk About It Oklahoma – Fire in Beulah

This month we will discuss Fire in Beulah by Rilla Askew,  chronicling events leading up to the Tulsa Riot of 1921.  Dr. Aaron Mason, Professor of Political Science at NWOSU will lead the discussion.

Let’s Talk About It Oklahoma – Shell Shaker

Join us on Monday, April 29th, at 5:30 PM for our next Let's Talk About It Oklahoma  program.  Our title will be Shell Shaker by Leanne Howe.  Dr. Laura Arata, Professor of History at Oklahoma State University, will be our humanities scholar for our book discussion.
