Blackwell Public Library plans to register voters in Blackwell to celebrate the national holiday.
On September 22, 2020, Americans will celebrate National Voter Registration Day with a massive cross-country effort to register voters well in advance of Election Day this November.
Why register? Make your voice heard at the ballot box. The library is committed to providing its patrons with the information they need to become active in civic affairs and make informed decisions.
Blackwell Public Library is proud to be a National Voter Registration Day partner. On September 22, the library will engage its community and hand out voter registration forms and requests for absentee ballots. The library will also provide postage to mail in the forms. You can also stop by the library and verify your registration online. You need to register if:
- You have never registered to vote before
- You have moved since you last registered
- You have changed your name
- You have turned 18
Founded in 2012, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual moment when the entire nation focuses on registering the Americans to exercise their most basic right – the right to vote. Nearly 3 million Americans have registered to vote on the holiday since the inaugural National Voter Registration Day in 2012.
