Libraries Rock! Summer Learning Program

The library is planning to rock all summer long with our awesome programs and classes!  Join us every week during June and July for story clubs, special events, music, crafts, games, and more!  There is something planned for all ages.  Registration begins May 21st and continues until the start of the program on June 4th.  In addition to the library’s events, Cindy Cox will host Launch Into Reading for students grades K-3 using Levar Burton’s Skybrary.

The basic schedule for the summer is:

  • Tweens & Teens program on Mondays, 2:00-2:45 PM
  • 0-PreK program on Thursdays, 10:30-11:15 AM
  • K-2 program on Tuesdays, 10:30-11:15 AM
  • 3-5 program on Tuesdays, 2:00-2:45 PM
  • Lots of displays and independent projects during the week!

Special performers will appear at the Blackwell Event Center for our Summer Entertainment Series.

  • “Flying Debris”- Richard Holmgren, juggler, performs Wednesday, June 6th @ 10:30 AM
  • “Jay & Leslie’s Laughing Matters, Juggling, Mime, Magic, and Other Nonsense” perform Wednesday, June 20th @ 10:30 AM
  • “Amazing Magical Michael” performs Monday, July 9th @ 11:00 AM
  • “The Oklahoma Kid, Marty Tipton, trick roper” performs Monday, July 16th @ 11:00 AM
  • OKC Zoo will bring 2 shows on Monday, June 23rd- “Roarchestra” @ 10:30 AM and “What Does the Flock Say?” @ 11:30 AM
