The library is hosting a stellar summer learning program for all ages with A Universe of Stories.

The programs and events will all happen during June and July with something going on almost every day that the library is open! We will explore rocket science, robotics, astronomy, and more! This year marks NASA’s 60th anniversary as well as the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. Now we are looking forward to traveling back to the moon and on to Mars!

Registration is going on now for all of the programs. Missions for kids and teens begin on Tuesday, June 4th. Reading logs and calendars are available at both desks along with all the information you need to journey with us through the universe all summer long.

Missions for Kids

Kids and families will have fun all summer with Space Crafts, Sci-Fact, and Out of This World games!

Missions for kids are available all week long with crafts (Space Crafts), STEM activities (Sci-Fact) and games (Out of This World Games) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings at 11:00 AM. These programs are appropriate for all children (through 5th grade) and families.

On Fridays, we will either present a special program at the Event Center or host a Storytime from Space at the library with astronauts on the International Space Station sharing books.

Look for the Stupendous Saturday STEAM events on the calendar. Plus, watch for our movie matinees!

Teens and Tweens

Explore rocketry, robotics, and more plus check out our virtual reality gadgets this summer.

Teens and tweens will gather on Tuesday afternoons at 1:00PM to learn more about rocketry, robotics, space travel, and more! These activities are geared toward kids in Middle and High School.

Everyone, including adults, can pick up reading logs and keep track of all the fabulous books they read or have read to them and earn great prizes! We have some awesome Galaxy Art and a celebration of the first moon landing planned! The library has lots of great books available for a variety of interests. Don’t find what you’re looking for? Just ask one of the friendly library staff members!

The librarians are looking forward to seeing everyone all summer long!
